Mac Arnold film documentary nominated for Blues Music Award

South Carolina filmmaker Stan Woodward has released his documentary entitled NOTHING TO PROVE: The Story of Mac Arnold’s Return to the Blues. The film premiered in Greenville in Dec. 2009, and was screened at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival and broadcast statewide by SC Educational Television.  It was also nominated for best DVD at the 2011 Blues Music Awards!

"Mac Arnold is a key part of blues history.  He really is unique in that he connects his life and music to the Mississippi Delta, Chicago, and the South Carolina blues tradition.  And it is rare that these worlds are ever linked together as they are in the life and music of Mac."
